The Lajpat Nagar Metro Station stop is a bustling transit hub in South Delhi. Opened in 2010, it serves as a connection between the Violet Line and the Pink Line. 1. Violet Line: (Side Platforms) Elevated
Platform 1: It runs towards the south. The trains go to Raja Nahar Singh via Nehru Place and Faridabad.
Platform 2: Towards the north to reach Kashmere Gate via Central Secretariat and Mandi House.
2. Pink Line: (Island Platform) Underground
Platform 3: It moves towards the east on the Pink Line to reach Shiv Vihar via Mayur Vihar and Anand Vihar.
Platform 4: Towards the west and north on the Pink Line ring route to reach Majlis Park via Dilli Haat-INA and Rajouri Garden.

- Gate 1: Provides easy accessibility to the Defence Colony region and flyover region.
- Gate 2: This is one of the exits on the metro station which leads you towards the Lajpat Nagar Central Market area.
- Gate 3: This exit leads to the Japan Foundation and the Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing.
- Gate 4: This leads to the Moolchand Medcity Hospital and blocks A, B and C of Lajpat Nagar.
- Gate 5: This is the shopping hub which leads you towards the Lajpat Nagar Central Market (Block D, I, J, K, L) within 200 m

The station is located next to the popular central market. If you are a shopper, then the station gates allow you to get straight to the clothing stalls, food stands and other shops. Nearby attractions to the station are Defence Colony, Amar Colony and Moolchand Hospital.
Future Expansion(Phase IV):
As part of Phase IV of the Delhi Metro expansion plan, Lajpat Nagar station will also witness the new Lajpat Nagar- Saket G-Block corridor. The 3-coach train expansion of length 7.69 km will transform the station into a huge triple-line interchange. It will feature a public plaza, local street art, and digitally printed glass architecture and will be able to manage more than 54,000 commuters a day.
